Welding Technology

The course sequence listed is a recommendation to ensure prerequisites and requirements are met. The student needs to ensure that institutional requirements such as 12 hours per semester for scholarships are also met. Although 60 hours is the minimum needed for the degree, students may end up with more than 60 hours to meet all requirements.

* Students completing any program level will receive AWS SENSE Level I and OSHA10 Certification. NCCER Core is award only in CERTC or AAS levels.

Includes instruction in arc welding, resistance welding, brazing and soldering, cutting, high-energy beam welding and cutting, solid state welding, ferrous and non-ferrous materials, oxidation-reduction reactions, welding metallurgy, welding processes and heat treating, structural design, safety, and applicable codes and standards.
