This course provides students with a comprehensive introduction to vegetable crop production, covering the principles and practices used in successful commercial and small-scale vegetable operations. Topics include crop selection, soil preparation, planting techniques, irrigation, fertility management, pest and disease control, harvesting, and post-harvest handling. Emphasis is placed on sustainable production practices, resource management, and improving crop quality and profitability.
