For each unit of credit, a minimum of three hours per week with one of the hours for class and two hours for studying/preparation outside of class is expected.
The Seward County Community College physical education program will broaden the understanding of fitness for life by providing general education, appropriate technology, and professional development opportunities that promote a healthy lifestyle.

SCCC Outcome 1 will be assessed and measured by class participation and successful completion of unit exams indicating comprehension of materials read.
SCCC Outcome 2 will be assessed and measured by class participation and writing assignments.
SCCC Outcome 5 will be assessed and measured by lab investigation and critical thinking assignments.
The student must complete ten (10) hours of observation as a requirement of the course. The ten (10) hours must be under the supervision of the certified athletic trainer at SCCC. Students must abide the following rules when observing: no sandals are allowed, shoes must cover the toes; must be dressed appropriately w/ no low neck line or mid-rife showing; and medical and athlete information is confidential and must stay that way.
