Course Description

One credit hour, meeting two hours per week. This class emphasizes the fundamentals of archery with attention given to techniques, rules, terminology, scoring, and safety. For each unit of credit, a minimum of three hours per week with one of the hours for class and two hours for studying/preparation outside of class is expected.

Methods of Assessment

Methods of assessing the general course outcomes and the specific course competencies include, archery skills evaluation and experience.

SCCC Instructional Outcome 1 will be assessed and measured by testing their comprehension of archery history, rules and terminology.

SCCC Instruction Outcome 3 will be assessed and measured by observation and participation.

SCCC Instructional Outcome 5 will be assessed and measured by comprehension of archery history.

SCCC Instructional Outcome 6 will be assessed and measured by participation and class attendance.
