Course Description

Lecture course that is designed to explore the principles and practices which will provide the foundation for the health and fitness disciplines. For each unit of credit, a minimum of three hours per week with one of the hours for class and two hours for studying/preparation outside of class is expected.

Methods of Assessment

SCCC Outcome 1 will be assessed and measured by in class reading assignments and using the SCCC reading rubic.

SCCC Outcome 2 will be assessed and measured by abstract writing using the SCCC writing rubric.

SCCC Outcome 3 will be assessed and measured by abstract presentations using the SCCC oral rubric.

SCCC Outcome 5 will be assessed and measured by accuracy of data analyzing data through the fitness assessment project using the SCCC critical thinking rubric.

SCCC Outcome 6 will be assessed and measured by students'� ability to use computers for class projects and other assignments.
