Course Description

For each unit of credit, a minimum of three hours per week with one of the hours for class and two hours for studying/preparation outside of class is expected.

Review use of Microsoft Windows including identify parts of computer, use the mouse, choose commands, complete computer exercises, customize Quick Access Toolbar, and customize settings

Create, print, and edit documents

Format and customize characters and paragraphs�sort, border, shading, tabs, clipboard

Apply formatting and insert objects�columns, hyphenation, images, pull quotes, text boxes, word art

Maintain documents�folders; insert file; copy, move, rename documents

Create tables and SmartArt�perform calculations in table

Merge documents�data source; main document; merge documents, envelopes, and labels

Customize paragraphs and pages�inserting numbers and bullets, multilevel list numbering, headers and footers
